After upgrade to 11.04 now vmware workstation 7 crash after start, i need to add:

export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/vmware/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0/libglib-2.0.so.0

in

/usr/bin/vmware

Enable/disable cron

What is the AIX way to disable cron during system maintenance?
lsitab cron to remember the default cron entry.
rmitab cron to disable cron
or is it better to use chitab cron:3456789:once:/usr/sbin/cron

enable cron again: mkitab

SVC:Recover vdisk from status offline

svctask recovervdisk vdisk17

Command to view recovery task status:

svcinfo lsrepairsevdiskcopyprogress

Connect to SVC GUI, go to troubleshooting menu, select support, click show full log listing and select with DX mouse the dump snap.152035...tgz and select download.

Is there a way to change the default directories in which the files sent to and from the target machine are saved?

Answer
You can edit the Target registry using Regedit command.
Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\IBM\Tivoli\RemoteControl\Target there is a TransferDir key that can be edited at your choice.
