Is there a way to change the default directories in which the files sent to and from the target machine are saved?

Answer
You can edit the Target registry using Regedit command.
Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\IBM\Tivoli\RemoteControl\Target there is a TransferDir key that can be edited at your choice.
